Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McHenry County?

There were 34 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in McHenry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McHenry Times.

The data shows that 30 men and four women were released in McHenry County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Sylvester A. Curry. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013 when he was 20 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each McHenry County municipality.
