Illinois state Sen. Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) recently thanked constituents who turned out for his latest “Conversations Untapped” gathering to discuss major legislation in the state.
“Had a nice turnout for Conversations Untapped,” Wilcox posted on Facebook. “Discussed much of the major legislation from Springfield and a number of local issues. Thank you to everyone who attended and stayed well past the posted end time.”
According to the NW Herald, Wilcox and fellow Sen. Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) began hosting the casual events back in April as a way for local residents to speak face-to-face with their representatives about issues important to them pertaining to state government.
The gatherings also provided information related to state and local issues and updates on legislation and an opportunity for feedback.
