City of Harvard City Council met Aug. 27.

5. Individual Action Consent Agenda Items

• City Council Action on any item removed from the consent agenda.

6. Petition for Variation for Property Located at 504 University St.

• The petitioner, Adam Harasimowicz, PO Box 366831, Bonita Springs, FL is requesting relief from Section 19.15.B3, Driveways and Private Parking Lots, in order to widen the driveway at 504 University St. Action requested is to approve or deny the petition or refer to Committee for review.

7. Petition for Variation for Property Located at 1208 3rd St.

• The petitioners, Ian and Brittany McCafferty, are requesting relief from Section 19.15.B3, Driveways and Private Parking Lots, in order to widen the driveway at 1208 3rd St. Action requested is to approve or deny the petition or refer to Committee for review.

8. Doug MacKenzie Permit Request for Tree Bank Parking

• Doug MacKenzie, 66 North Ayer St., is seeking permission to utilize the tree bank area on West Diggins St. for parking. Action requested is to approve or deny the request or refer to Committee for review.

9. Special Event Liquor License/Parks Dept.

• The Parks Dept. is requesting a Special Event Liquor License for Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 8 am - 10 pm in conjunction with the Co-Ed Softball Tournament. The fees have been paid. Action requested is to approve or deny the request.

10. Open and Award Bid for Surplus Property

• Sealed bids to be opened and considered for 607 N. Howard St.

11. Proposed Ordinance Amending the Budget for FY2019/2020 relative the Police Department and Waste Water Treatment Plant

• Action requested is to approve the ordinance as presented.

12. Proposed Ordinance Amending Section 11.13F, Storage of Garbage Receptacles & Fine, Section 25.06E, Liquor, One Time License Fee and Section 1.14, Settlement of Offenses

• Action requested is to approve the ordinance as presented.

13. Proposed Ordinance Amending Municipal Code of the City of Harvard by the Addition of Section 23.10 Imposing a Municipal Cannabis Retailer’s Occupation Tax

• Action requested is to approve the ordinance as presented.

14. Park Board Meeting August 19, 2019 - Recommendation to Conduct Controlled Burn

• The Park Board recommends that the City Council approve a controlled burn in City parks as outlined by Supt. Knop. Action requested is to approve the Committee’s recommendation.
