Algonquin (McHenry County) home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Algonquin in McHenry County rose by $26,250 while total sales decreased by 31.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 52 homes sold, with a median sale price of $251,000 - a 11.7% increase over the $224,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 76 homes sold in Algonquin in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Algonquin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $6,664, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
