CRYSTAL LAKE PARK DISTRICT: Colonel Palmer House Invites You to ‘Craft like a Pioneer’

Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on March 1.

Have you ever wondered how it was to live like the pioneers? Learn how they handcrafted gifts and provisions of the early 1800’s. This is a free drop in activity, no registration is required.

Craft like a Pioneer

Saturdays, 10 am-Noon

Mar 21 (Tin Lanterns)

Apr 18 (Dipped Candles)

Location: Colonel Palmer House, 660 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake

 

The Colonel Palmer House was built c.1858 by settlers Gustavus and Henrietta Palmer. Located on its original site, the home was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Currently the home is maintained by the Crystal Lake Park District and is home to the Crystal Lake Historical Society.
