Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on March 13.
Based on the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 and the current projections from public health officials about the potential spread and severity of this virus, the Crystal Lake Park District has made the decision to cancel all Park District programs and events effective Saturday, March 14 thru Sunday, March 29. For ongoing programs, prorated refunds for the period of the closure will be issued. Full refunds will be issued for single day events or programs that were to take place during this closure period. Barlina House Preschool and Extended Time families will receive a separate email regarding their billing credit options.
During this closure period, all Park District facilities will be closed with the exception of:
- Crystal Lake Park District Admin. Building, 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake
- Parks Services Maintenance Building, 300 Lakeshore Dr, Crystal Lake
- The Racket Club, 9101 S. Route 31, Algonquin, IL*
Existing individual and organizational facility rentals during this time period will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Lauren Thibodeau, Facility Rental Supervisor at lthibodeau@crystallakeparks.org, 815-459-0680, ext. 1226.
