Q1 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60098 convicted of drug crimes

There were two offenders convicted of drug crimes released on parole near Illinois zip code 60098 during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the McHenry Times.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in 60098 were women. The younger parolee was a 32-year-old woman sentenced in 2018. The other was a 37-year-old woman sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Lizzeth Lopez. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when she was 36 years old. She is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 zips in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the first quarter who were convicted of drug crimes.
