Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on June 2.
Dear Camp Parents:
Due to the situation surrounding Covid-19, the Crystal Lake Park District has worked hard at making necessary staffing, safety and location adjustments in order to offer our Summer Day Camp program. The results of these efforts are resulted in a reformatted day camp experience for your camper.
Staff is currently being hired and will have to go through the onboarding process along with training that consists of the typical camp staff training along with the new training program that specifically addresses the new environment due to the COVID-19 situation.
Once we receive further clarification from the CDC and IPDH on further safety measures that will be required of the Crystal Lake Park District in order to provide summer day camp, the guidelines will be distributed prior to the first day of camp.
