McHenry County has implemented a Resume Task Force that will be helping local companies and industries to reopen.
McHenry County announced that Resume McHenry County Task Force was created by Jack Franks, the county board’s chairman. The task force will be integral in reopening the local business community.
The task force is made up of experts in the areas of business and industry as well as health care, making the recommendations offered by the task force not only tempered but balanced. The task force is approaching the reopening in six categories: safety, metrics/measures, mental and behavioral health, critical communications and new strategic planning.
Franks is appreciative of the help that he has been given in the formation of this task force.
“As we move to reopen businesses and our economy, these measures will help ensure a successful transition and help us return to our lifestyles safely and responsibly,” Franks said. “The COVID-19 pandemic has put tremendous challenges on residents and businesses, but we are strong and resilient. We must continue to work together. Please support our McHenry County businesses. They need our help now more than ever.”
The task force will also help throughout the other reopening phases and will be working alongside the county itself, as well as the McHenry County Economic Development Corp. It should be looking at the long term recovery as the county works to return to a new normal.
McHenry County Economic Development Corp. President Jim McConoughey said that looking ahead will be of the utmost importance for the good of the community.
“We are committed to accurately, authentically and transparently communicating with the public and business community in order to restore our economic prosperity while staying safe and health,” McConoughey said.
