Some recycling events in Kane and McHenry County have resumed.
Kane County Recycles has posted updated information on their recycling services and events, including precautions related to COVID-19. Services include recycling of electronics (fees may apply) , books, clothing and textiles. Learn more on their website.
The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County has announced several recycling drives for McHenry County residents in conjunction with the McHenry County Department of Health. Services include recycling of electronics (fees may apply) , batteries, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, clean styrofoam, textiles and clothing. Document shredding will also be available at all drives. Green & Clean Huntley Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, for Village of Huntley residents. We will offer free recycling of electronics, paper/documents, markers, books, eyeglasses and other household items.
