Analysis: Johnsburg pays $2.91 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Johnsburg Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.5 percent of the $338,841 the Johnsburg Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.91 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Johnsburg contributed $252,350 to the fund, which saw a $182,222 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $86,492, or 25.5 percent, in 2018.
