Analysis: Huntley pays $2.54 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Huntley Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 70.1 percent of the $1,157,951 the Huntley Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.54 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Huntley contributed $811,523 to the fund, which saw a $238,466 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $318,896, or 27.5 percent, in 2018. Another $27,532 came from other unspecified sources.
