Analysis: Lake in the Hills pays $3.55 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Algonquin Lake In The Hills FPD Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78 percent of the $1,853,131 the Algonquin Lake In The Hills FPD Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.55 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake in the Hills contributed $1,445,121 to the fund, which saw a $262,210 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $406,808, or 22 percent, in 2018. Another $1,202 came from other unspecified sources.
