Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McHenry County?

There were 38 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in McHenry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McHenry Times.

The data shows that 32 men and six women were released in McHenry County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2019, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Cody A. Bryant. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2008 when he was 18 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
