Open Public Hearing to consider the creation of the Village of Wonder Lake Special Service Area Number Ten in the subject territory known ad Thatcher Meadows, Wonder Lake, Illinois 

Motion by: Trustee Learman 

Second by: Trustee Reinhard 

Discussion: Village Attorney Curran informed the Board that this is the next step, passed the proposing ordinance, now the Public Hearing on the establishment of Special Service Area No. 10 ; Andy Teegen, NRB Land, informed the Board this is for 4 neighborhoods by Rt. 120

Discussion: Village Attorney Curran informed the Board that published notice of Public Hearing and the notice was sent to all adjoining properties. 

Close Public Hearing to consider the creation of the Village of Wonder Lake Special Service Area Number Ten in the subject territory known ad Thatcher Meadows, Wonder Lake, Illinois

Approval of Woods Creek Equipment Expenditure per request of Robinson Engineering 

Motion by: Trustee Dycus 

Second by: Trustee Palys 

Discussion: Paul Ruscko, Robinson Engineering, informed the Board that this is for the Wastewater Treatment Plant floating dock in the treatment storage lagoon; solicited multiple proposals for replacement of the existing equipment; going with Captain Rod’s for $21,670, requested what currently have, float system is what needs to be replaced; Trustee Reinhard asked about all proposals; Paul informed the Board of one other proposal from Lighthouse Dock & Lift for $17,000, they have not responded; this project is in the budget.

President: 

 Thatcher Meadows Update by Andy Teegen, NRB Land – will be rebranding and changing the name, sewer and water going very well, October 21st will turn system on; 120 paving being done by Curran, will be done by August 24th for school opening; utilities are all underground, gas and electric all live, sewer and storm sewers are all life; paths on South end are paved; will be opening next summer, National Builder will be coming in to show Board platting and product lines to start the process.

Treasurer: Nothing at this time 

Trustees: Nothing at this time 

Report of Departments: 

Engineering: Paul Ruscko, Robinson Engineering – Present – Nothing at this time 

Financial: Treasurer Winder  Watermain Replacement – final payment is in  ESDA/Health: Trustee Palys – Present – Nothing at this time 

Planning & Zoning Commission: Chairperson Jim Cavanaugh – Not Present – Report by Village President Topf 

 Meadows of West Bay – Village Attorney Curran and Village President Topf had a meeting with Lennar Homes ; Lennar Homes will be at the next meeting with a presentation, they have a plan for the Homeowners Association, would like ideas from the Village about the parks, not changing lot sizes or moving anything around. 

Police: Chief Crilly – Present 

 Creekside Drive – received emails about speeding, refurbished the speed wagon and put it out there, monitoring speeds 

 Burnouts Trustee Reinhard has been receiving some complaints, what can Police do if given License Plate Number; Chief Crilly informed the Board will make contact 

General Affairs: Trustee Reinhard – Present 

 Soccer League – not this fall 

 Softball – have 1 team 

 CDBG Application – Trustee Wells and Trustee Reinhard are working on the application for 2” lift on Elm Street improvements, will turn in application August 14th

Public Works: Chuck Bissell, Public Works Director – Present 

 Low lying areas – working on restoration with Trustee Palys 

 Downed Trees – all cut up 

 Com Ed Lights - going with LED 

 5 Year Strategic Plan – working on a plan for streets and paving 

Sewer and Water: Paul Ruscko, Robinson Engineering – Present – Nothing at this time 

Communications/Public Relations: Trustee Wells – Present – Noting at this time
