Q3 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McHenry County?

There were 43 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2020 that live in McHenry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McHenry Times.

The data shows that 36 men and seven women were released in McHenry County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 39. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2020, and the oldest was a 85-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2020.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lennox Lawrence. He was convicted of homicide in 1976 when he was 20 years old. He is now 64.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2020 in each McHenry County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
