Huntley Community School District 158 issued the following announcement on Apr 21.

Huntley 158 families

While we anticipate that the vast majority of our students should and will learn in-person in the 2021-22 school year, we understand that some families must or prefer to have students learn in a remote format. The purpose of this form is to gauge the level of interest in a remote learning option for the 2021-22 school year.

The District has examined potential options for continuation of remote learning for those who desire it in the 2021-22 school year. However, to move forward in planning, we must determine the level of interest among our families. Final options will be created taking into account the needs and desires of our families as expressed through this survey.

  • Responses to this form do NOT represent a commitment to remote learning; they represent interest in potential remote learning options.
  • Responses to this form will be used as the basis for the creation of final options, so please complete this form thoughtfully.
  • Final options will be presented publicly. Families will then be asked via another form to commit to a learning model for the entirety of the school year.
  • Please complete this form once for each student who will be enrolled in the 2021-22 school year.
  • Please complete this form by April 28, 2021
  • Families of new, incoming students to the Early Childhood Center or Kindergarten will receive separate communications in the future and should NOT complete this form for their incoming students.
  • We anticipate that this process will be completed prior to the end of the current school year, to enable the District to implement plans over the summer in preparation for the fall.
