McHenry County Staff Plat Review Board met Nov. 3.

I. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at: 8:33 AM by Adam P Wallen.
PRESENT: Colletti (Remote), Wallen, Hanlon, Beets (Remote), Levato
ABSENT:
Kim Scharlow, Department of Planning and Development, was also present.
II. PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
III. DRAFT MINUTES FOR APPROVAL
1. Staff Plat Review - Public Meeting - Oct 20, 2021 8:30 AM
Mr. Levato stated, the minutes should reflect that portable toilets need to be shown on the site plan.

1. #2020-017 - Hughes - Alden Twp - A1C-A1C (RE-REVIEW)
The petitioner is requesting renewal of a conditional use for an existing farm machinery repair shop.
Mr. Wallen explained there are multiple stations with specific types of machine equipment. He does not have any employees, there are no floor drains, and no public restrooms.
STORMWATER - Joanna Colletti
Ms. Colletti stated she has no comments on revised petition.
MCDOT - Ray Beets
Mr. Beets had no comments.
HEALTH - Jeff Levato
Mr. Levato had no comments.
BUILDING - Adam Wallen
Mr. Wallen had no comments.
Motion by Ms. Hanlon, seconded by Mr. Levato to accept the Hughes revised site plan as submitted. All members voted aye, motion passed.
Mr. Hughes arrived at 8:52 a.m.
Mr. Wallen explained to Mr. Hughes that the Staff Plat Committee had reviewed the revised site plan, and there were no comments.
Mr. Hughes complimented the Department of Planning and Development on their professionalism.
V. STATUS UPDATE
Ms. Hanlon reported that the ZBA recommended approval of the Duke Energy Solar Farm with 4 pages of conditions.
Ms. Scharlow mentioned another community solar farm will be coming through. She received a submittal, but it was not complete.
There is a property on Allendale that sold and the new owner would like to have a flower farm, and they would like to do events such has classes and hay rides next year. Ms. Hanlon met with him last week, and explained agritourism rules and regulations. There was mention of wresting, but that would mean the zoning would have to be changed. She stated that the Staff Plat Review Committee will see this project before them soon.
