City of McHenry Landmark Commission met March 1.

Old Business: Green Street Project
Jeff Varda and Zelinda Paluch spoke about the History of the Hidden Pearl. There were 10 lots on the original plot, completed in 1840
Detailed maps were distributed to the members, East of Green Street and South of Elm Street. The information on this research project was at the McHenry County Historical Museum.
Beth Staley and Tom Hillier are doing the research on 1257 Green Street.
The Alexander Hanley building plaque was discussed. We need to contact Ross Polerecky, The Director of Community Development.
Petersen Farm Project
January 17, 2022 Tonyan Construction placed a bid on the farm
Jeff Varda stated there was a problem with maternal community of bats in the barn.
Jeff Varda made a motion to schedule some activities every 2 months
Project was declined
Beth Staley suggested we have an activity 6 times a year.
Suggestion approved, Pat Schaefer second the motion.
Beth will also contact the Garden Club at McHenry High School.
Michelle Peterson from the Farm Foundation spoke about the important purpose of Peterson Farm: Need new members

The Art work display from McHenry High School students is now being displayed at the McHenry County Historical Museum.
This Art Work display was first shown at the Hidden Pearl Green Street
