Mark Carroll for Congress has issued the following press release:

North Aurora, IL, June 3rd, 2022 – There is every reason to make sure that voters know empty rhetoric and platitudes don’t translate into action in Congress. Mark Carroll For Congress submits the following examples of recent real-world achievements and potential struggles that will translate well as your elected IL-11 Representative in Congress:

“I am currently serving in my second term as an elected Trustee in North Aurora, Illinois. No other candidate in the IL-11 race has this experience. I am the only person with a proven voting record of supporting law enforcement. I’ve also stood up for families by voting “NO” to allowing a recreational cannabis dispensary within the Village,’ states Carroll.

“I currently serve as a Vice President, Senior General Counsel in the financial services industry for a subsidiary of a Fortune 300 company. This is important to note as I went through a comprehensive criminal background and credit check. The latter of which showed trust in my abilities to manage my own finances appropriately. I mention this as a compliment to the plan I am currently participating in with the IRS,” says Carroll. “This plan will be completed within 45-60 days but to explain further, you have to understand the nature of my client base was such that my pay was irregular and sporadic. There were several years where more than 60% of my total annual revenue came in the last quarter of the year. Unfortunately, this sacrifice often came at a cost to the bottom line and to my ability to support my family. When I could no longer bear the financial burden for my family, I turned my practice to in-house and was faced with the decision to wind it down.”

“I took care of my family first and never ignored my obligations to our country. As Illinois Family Action shows on their website, I am always open and willing to share my personal information and documentation so long as it does not come at the expense of my family,” remarked Carroll.

Carroll continues, “serving as a youth sports coach for the last 14 years has given me perspective on community in a different fashion than that of my seat in elected office. I am able to relate to single-parent operations as well as traditional households. There are unique struggles and opportunities within both environments,” states Mark. “This education continued in a different fashion while I was President of our local Parent Teacher League and while I volunteered as Lead Attorney at a monthly legal services non-profit group. It truly is important that I am well rounded within the community to represent it!”

“Most people do not know this but, I continue to represent and advocate on behalf of minors and disabled adults as an approved Guardian ad Litem in the 16th Judicial Circuit,” says Carroll. “Yes, my legal and compliance teams experience in the mortgage industry during the pandemic sharpened my researching and monitoring skills as the ever-changing legal and regulatory laws adopted by the federal government never took a break, but service to the community is where my real fulfillment comes from.

Mark Joseph Carroll is endorsed by several organizations like Illinois Family Action and Illinois Federation of Right to Life, Republican township organizations, and elected officials throughout Illinois’ 11th Congressional District. IL-11 encompasses portions of Lake, McHenry, Boone, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook and Will counties. For more information head to www.markcarrollforcongress.com.
