NEW CAMP PROGRAM JUST FOR ADULTS-CAMP WANNABEAKID

Camp isn’t just for kids! Grab a friend or two and sign up today-adults ages 21+ are welcome! WE are never too old to have a camp experience, meet new friends, try new things and have a whole lot of fun. Sign up for daily camp dates or sign up for the whole week and get a price break. All ‘campers’ signed up by June 25 will receive a camp t-shirt. Each day has a theme with multiple activities planned. Lunches are included each day. Registration deadline: 3 day prior to the start of the class. Register online by clicking on the program code on page 77 of the digital guide at crystallakeparks.org

Camp Wannabekid

9 am-3 pm daily, meet at Grand Oaks, 1401 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake

Daily registration fee: $35 res/$40 non-res

Weekly registration fee (save $$$ off the daily registration fees): $150 res/$155 non-res

Mon, July 11: Camp Kickoff Morning craft at Grand Oaks, followed by a trip to Pinstripes for pizza/bowling/bocce and then back to Grand Oaks for Bingo.

Tu, Jul 12: Nature Exploration Guided nature walk with our Naturalist followed by Archery instruction. Boxed lunch from Honeybaked Ham. We will then travel to Colonel Palmer House for a clay oven pizza demonstration, a Palmer House garden walk and a guided wagon ride through Sterne’s Woods.

Wed, Jul 13: Paddleboat and Pickleball Pickleball mini lesson and play. We will travel to St. Charles for a paddleboat and lunch at the Colonel Café (included in fee). Followed up with some time to shop in St. Charles.

Th, Jul 14: Wine and Mind! Meditation and essential oils, winery tour and tasting with a boxed lunch from Breaking Bread. Then it’s on to Colonel Palmer House for a chess challenge including instruction and open play with Ben.

Fri, Jul 15: Play and Play! We will start the day with a miniature golf tournament at Lippold Family Golf. We then travel south for lunch at Al’s Creamery in Elgin (included in fee). We will close out the day at the Elgin Riverboat for gambling and a closing camp social.
