Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.
Village President and Trustee Reports (Parks; Planning & Zoning; Special Events)
Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.
1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All
All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.
A. Village Board Meeting Minutes – September 19, 2023
The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.
B. Accounts Payable – October 3, 2023
The Board will consider the payment of bills.
C. Treasurer’s Report – August 2023
The Board will consider the approval of the monthly treasurer’s report.
D. Ordinance 2023-16, Proposing Establishment of Redwood SSA, Public Hearing Date
The Board will consider the approval of an ordinance that proposes that establishment of a special service area (SSA) on the Redwood parcel and sets a date for a public hearing on the creation of the SSA.
E. Carnival Agreement, Fantasy Amusement Company
The Board will consider the approval of an agreement with Fantasy Amusement Company to provide rides and attractions for Fox Fest 2024.
F. Fireworks Contract
The Board will consider the approval of an agreement with Pyrotecnico for the 2024 Fireworks Display in the amount of $15,000.
2. Presentation: FYE 2023 Audit
A representative from Lauterbach & Amen, LLP will be in attendance to present the findings of the FYE 2023 Audit.
3. Approval: Ordinance 2023-17, Non-Highway Vehicles
The Board will consider the approval of an ordinance that would allow non-highway vehicles to be operated on the portion of Algonquin Road between Old Hunt Road and South River Road, and would allow for local citations to be issued for non-highway vehicle violations.
4. Discussion: Lake County Stormwater Management Grant
The Board will consider completing design engineering for a project to improve drainage around Doyle Road and Route 22. Completing design engineering will ensure the project is "shovel-ready", and increases the likelihood funds will be awarded.
