Village of Johnsburg Finance Committee met Sept. 11.

In attendance:
Chairman Klemstein; Committee Members Valentin, Hrabak, McAndrews, Sylvanus Village Staff: Accountant, Beckey Kijak
Meeting Started: 6:04 p.m.
Minutes from the July 10, 2023 meeting were approved with a motion by Committee Member Valentin and second by Committee Member McAndrews. All present voted aye.
Chairman Klemstein informed the committee that the Village Board approved and passed the Appropriation Ordinance. Additionally, the Redwood Development has been approved and will be moving forward.
Monthly Revenues – Ms. Kijak provided the committee with the up to date monthly revenues coming in. She reviewed the past few years especially going through the Covid-19 Pandemic and how the Village has continued to increase over the years.
Utility Billing Rates – The Committee continued its analysis of the rates. Ms. Kijak provided an updated analysis of rates comparing to other McHenry County Towns. The Committee unanimously decided to increase with putting in place an annual increase based on CPI Utilities taking the increase shown every January. Ms. Kijak advised that she will begin the necessary paperwork to move forward at board level.
Committee Member McAndrews moved to adjourn the meeting. Committee Member Valentin seconded the motion. The Meeting adjourned at 6:30pm.
Next Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
