State Senator Craig Wilcox's legislative office in Woodstock, Illinois will once again be participating in the annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. From now until Friday, December 8, the office will serve as a collection site for new, unwrapped toys and other gifts for children of all ages.

Senator Wilcox emphasized the importance of the Toys for Tots campaign in ensuring that every child, regardless of their family's financial situation, has a gift to open during the holidays. He stated, "Toys for Tots has provided toys and other gifts to kids since 1947. The annual toy collection campaign is vital to the organization's mission, and I am pleased to have my office on the historic Woodstock Square serve as a collection point."

The Toys for Tots campaign is a nationwide effort, with local collection campaigns taking place in over 800 communities across all 50 states. Each community has a designated coordinator, who can be either a Marine, a member of a Marine Corps League Detachment, or a member of a local community organization. These coordinators, along with local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other community agencies, work together to distribute the collected toys to less fortunate children.

As the holiday season approaches, Senator Wilcox encouraged those who have been blessed with abundance to give back through the Toys for Tots campaign. He said, "We are entering the season of Thanksgiving, and I would encourage all people who enjoy bountiful blessings to give back. Let's all help put smiles on children's faces this holiday season."

Senator Craig Wilcox's Woodstock office is located at 209 North Benton Street and will be accepting donations during office hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
