Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Village President and Trustee Reports (Parks; Planning & Zoning; Special Events)

Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.

Staff Monthly Reports

The Board has the opportunity to ask staff questions regarding the monthly staff reports.

Proclamation: Honoring the Cary-Grove Junior Trojans Poms 2023 Championship Teams

Village President McLaughlin will read aloud a proclamation honoring the members of the 6th/7th Grade and 8th Grade Cary-Grove Junior Trojans Poms Teams that took home top honors in their divisions at the 2023 National Championships.

1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All

All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.

A. Village & Executive Session Meeting Minutes – January 2, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.

B. Accounts Payable – January 16, 2024

The Board will consider the approval of the accounts payable reports and payment of the bills.

C. Waive Park, Sound and Temporary Liquor License Permit Fees, Lions Club and Arts & Crafts Fair July 20, 2024.

The Board will consider waiving fees for the Lions Club Arts & Crafts Fair to be held July 20th at Lions Park.

2. Approval: Waive Bid Process and Authorize a Contract, Landscape Maintenance

The Board will consider waiving the competitive bid process and continuing the current landscape maintenance contract with Apex Landscaping at 1.57% above current prices.

3. Discussion: Business Capital Assistance Program Request – The 100 Lounge

The Board will consider a request for a Business Capital Assistance Program grant for the 100 Lounge, a bar / restaurant opening soon at 100 Northwest Highway.

4. Discussion: Block B Demolition Update

This is a standing item on the agenda for the Village Board to discuss any updates pertaining to the demolition of the buildings on Block B (properties along Northwest Highway from Illinois Street to Lincoln Avenue). At this time, there are no significant updates other than the work to develop the demolition project bid specifications continues.

5. Approval: Paid Time Off Policy

The Board will consider approving a paid time-off policy that complies with the paid leave ordinance approved in December 2023.
