D. MANAGER’S REPORT NO. 246:
1. Ordinance – Approval of 6’ high security fence in front yard at 656 Lake Ave. (246a)
An Ordinance Granting a Variation from the Woodstock Unified Development Ordinance to allow a Six-Foot High, Open Fence in the Required Front Yard at 656 Lake Avenue, Woodstock, Illinois (Police Department)
2. Expenditure Approval – FY23/24 CIP – Police Facility Security Fence (246b)
Approval to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, utilizing Home Rule authority and waiving of bids, to approve an expenditure from the FY23/24 CIP Budget in order to further secure the facility with a fence that will enclose the west parking lot (Police Vehicle/Employee Parking Lot). This will provide the City of Woodstock with a total of 810 linear feet of 6’ tall Blacksmith-brand steel fencing, as well as for all associated costs for the installation of the fence through Fence Factory Family of Woodstock, IL, for a total project cost of $63,000.
3. Expenditure Approval – Unbudgeted FY23/24 – UPS Battery Replacement (246c) Approval to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, utilizing Home Rule authority and waiving of bids, to approve an unbudgeted expenditure from the FY23/24 Budget for the WPD’s Equipment Room’s Uninterruptible Power System (UPS). This approval will provide the City of Woodstock with forty (40) HX300 batteries and for all associated costs for the removal of old batteries and installation of the new batteries through Vertiv, Corp. of Buffalo Grove, IL, for a total project cost of $13,001.34.
