The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has released its updated Multi-Year transportation improvement plan, with Senator Craig Wilcox (R-Woodstock) announcing that $205,077,000 is allocated to the 32nd Senate District. Of this amount, $193,807,000 is designated for state highway improvements within the district, and $11,270,000 is set aside for local highway enhancements. The plan allocates $55,030,000 in IDOT funds for state and local projects in the 32nd District during the current fiscal year.
"The 32nd District in McHenry and Lake Counties is receiving a large investment of capital funding toward important transportation improvement projects in the new IDOT Multi-Year Plan," said Wilcox. "These projects will improve safety on our local and state roadways and strengthen the integrity of several bridges."
The list of projects slated for the 32nd District between Fiscal Years 2025-2030 includes 30 projects covering 18.1 miles of state highways and an additional 16 projects spanning 1.56 miles of local highways.
