Staff Monthly Reports
The Board has the opportunity to ask staff questions regarding the monthly staff reports.
1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All
All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.
A. Village Board Meeting Minutes – July 2, 2024
The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.
B. Accounts Payable – July 16, 2024
The Board will consider the approval of the accounts payable reports and payment of the bills.
2. Discussion: Zoning Case 2024-03, 100 Ski Hill Road – Variance – Accessory Structure
The Board will consider a request for a variance to allow the construction of a 1,200 sqft (576 sqft limit) 16’ tall (12’ limit) pole barn in a side yard adjoining a street (limited to rear yards) at 100 Ski Hill Road. The Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the requested variance as presented at its meeting on July 9, 2024.
3. Discussion: Zoning Case 2024-04, 415 Ski Hill Road – Variance – Accessory Structure
The Board will consider a request for a variance to allow the construction of a 16.5’ tall (12’ limit) garage at 415 Ski Hill Road. The Planning & Zoning Commission did not provide a recommendation on the requested variance as presented at its meeting on July 9, 2024.
4. Discussion: Zoning Case 2024-06, 220 Gladys Avenue – Variance – Accessory Structure
The Board will consider a request for a variance to allow the construction of a 680 sqft (576 sqft limit) garage at 220 Gladys Avenue. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 5-1 in favor of recommending approval of the requested variance as presented at its meeting on July 9, 2024.
5. Discussion: Zoning Case 2024-05, Text Amendments to Fox River Grove Zoning Ordinance
The Board will consider text amendments to the Fox River Grove Zoning Ordinance regarding the use of shipping containers within the B3 Commercial Recreation Area zoning district as a special use. The Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the proposed text amendments at its meeting on July 9, 2024.
