Rep. Steve Reick hosts free shredding and food drive event in Woodstock

Illinois State Representative Steven Reick | Representative Steven Reick (R) 63rd District

State Representative Steve Reick (R-Woodstock) will host a free paper shredding and food drive event on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at his district office located at 1072 Lake Avenue, Woodstock, IL.

Reick encourages constituents to bring sensitive documents for shredding and non-perishable food items for local food pantries.

"My staff and I will happily take two banker boxes of paper documents per vehicle for secured destruction and will accept paper until the truck is full or 12 Noon at the conclusion of the event. Please see the additional details about the disposal below," stated Rep. Reick.

Additional Event Details:

- No electronics will be accepted for recycling or disposal.

- Documents will not be shredded on-site but collected in sealed bins and taken to AMS Store & Shred’s facility for complete destruction.

- An official certificate of destruction will be provided to each vehicle upon collection.

- The event will conclude at noon or once the truck reaches capacity.

- All food items for donation must be non-perishable.

"I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great community event and I appreciate any non-perishable food donations you are able to donate. Our local food pantries are filled with top-notch staff and volunteers who work extremely hard to keep our community members served," added Reick.

"I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, August 3! Thank you," concluded Reick.
