State Representative Steven Reick has been appointed to several legislative committees. In a statement following the appointments, Reick expressed his commitment to his new roles.

"Last week, I was honored to be appointed as the Republican Spokesperson for the Adoption & Child Welfare, Appropriations-Pensions & Personnel, and Personnel & Pensions Committees, along with serving on Cities & Villages, Judiciary – Civil, and Revenue & Finance," he stated.

Reick emphasized the importance of these committees in addressing significant issues such as child protection, pension reform, and policy development affecting local governments and Illinois' financial future. He stated his dedication to "fiscal responsibility, government accountability, and policies that serve the people of Illinois—NOT political agendas."

He concluded by expressing his readiness to begin work in these capacities: "I’m ready to get to work."
