The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has announced the recipients of its scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. Several students from Crystal Lake, Illinois, have been recognized for their achievements and awarded financial support.
Josh Washington, studying Accounting, received the Clarence and Claudine Hammarlund Family Business Scholarship, Joseph L. Ilk Accounting Scholarship, and Chancellor Scholars award. Karstan Koelblinger, an Elementary Middle Education major; Angel Reynolds, a Special Education student; and Autumn Pena, who is studying Journalism, each received the Chancellor Scholars award. Gabriella Polus was awarded the Stoughton Trailers Student Scholarship for her studies in Business Analytics. Alex Watson, a History major, earned the Transfer Excellence Scholarship.
"On behalf of the UW-Whitewater Foundation Board of Directors, I extend heartfelt congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients," said Katie Kuznacic, president of the UW-Whitewater Foundation. "These life-changing financial awards are made possible by the generosity of thousands of individuals, families, friends, and organizations who are committed to our present and future. We are profoundly grateful for their continued commitment to UW-Whitewater students and their success."
Last academic year, the UW-Whitewater Foundation distributed more than $1.4 million in scholarships to students. Applications for many 2026-27 scholarships will open on November 1.
