State Senators Craig Wilcox and Darby Hills are organizing a free Veterans Luncheon and Expo to honor veterans and their families. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 365 Surryse Rd in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
Senator Wilcox, who represents the state's 32nd Senate District after being elected in 2018 as a Republican, emphasized the importance of community among veterans. “As a veteran myself, I know how valuable it is to come together, share experiences, and learn about the programs available to those who served,” said Senator Craig Wilcox. “This event is about honoring our veterans while making sure they know their communities stand behind them.”
The luncheon will feature food, guest speakers, and an expo that connects attendees with organizations offering resources for veterans and their families.
Senator Darby Hills also expressed appreciation for local service members. “Our veterans have given so much of themselves in service to our country, and this is just one small way we can say thank you,” said Senator Darby Hills. “I’m looking forward to meeting local veterans, hearing their stories, and helping connect them with the resources they deserve.”
