Waste Management to take over Johnsburg's garbage and recycling.
Waste Management, the private waste disposal service, will take over collection of garbage and recycling services in Johnsburg on Nov. 1.
Residents will begin receiving a bill for waste collection services directly from Waste Management and will no longer see residential garbage and recycling fees included in their property tax statements.
The change will help fund capital expenses and develop the town's cash savings, Village President Edwin P. Hettermen said.
