Marengo to host monthly council meeting.
The City of Marengo has requested the presence of its citizens at the regular city council meeting on Nov. 23.
The council meeting will be held at Marengo City Hall, which is located at 132 East Prairie St. The meeting will begin at precisely 7 p.m.
This meeting will be honoring the state champion Zion Lutheran School Boys cross country team. The team also placed fourth at LSA National Finishers. In addition, council members will be discussing the annual police pension report, power energy solution upgrades and the second quarter budget report. The mayor’s statements and reports are to be heard along with staff reports and concerns.
The city is asking for public participation because various laws may affect each individual family. It is asking for individuals from the community to speak for two minutes on any item listed on the agenda.
