Village of Richmond to discuss tax levies, release of sealed records at Dec. 3 meeting

The Thursday, Dec. 3 regular Richmond board meeting will feature financial discussion by the board on the village's tax levies as well as determining whether sealed records should be released to the public or not.

The board will meet at 7 p.m. at 5600 Hunter Dr. in Richmond.

Under new business, the agenda items up for discussion and approvals are the 2015 levy of taxes, the intergovernmental agreement for the McHenry County Gang task force and the auditing services proposal by Eder, Casella & Co.

Before new business is taken up the public will be invited to comment .

The Committee and Department reports will include the Finance, Community Development, ADHOC Long Term Planning, Police, Engineering and Public Works committees. The finance committee requests authorization to pay a warrant. The Community Development committee brings the reviews, recommendations and approvals of the "Welcome" sign, the L&L Storage, LLC sign variance at 11317 Burlington Rd., the Panino's sign variance and the Revived Creations signage at 10331 N. Main St.

The Nov. 19 board meeting minutes will also be presented for approval. In addition, the unfinished business section of the agenda includes review and further discussion of the board's "Top Five" task list and the approval and authorization of a $650 check for acquisition of property.

After the Village Clerk, Village President and Trustees' comments, the board will retire to a closed session to discuss acquisition of property, litigation and personnel matters.

The board will also conduct the semi-annual review of the closed minutes to determine if any can be released to public. The board may take action on the items discussed in the closed session before the meeting is adjourned.
