The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce has announced a string of winter events, including its annual awards dinner on Jan. 23.
The chamber will host its annual business awards dinner from 6-11 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Turnberry Country Club. The "Hollywood style" evening will honor businesses in eight categories: New Business, Professional Services, Personal/Home Services, Large Business, Hospitality/Food/Entertainment, Retail, Club/Organization and Home Office. The event will feature a DJ, dessert, wine, and a photo booth. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased on the chamber's website.
The chamber has scheduled its WinterFest Home and Business Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at Jacobs High School. Event organizers are promising more than 90 exhibitors from businesses across a wide range of categories, as well as food, music, live demos and family-friendly activities. A $50 discount is available for tickets purchased before Dec. 10. Discounted booth spaces are available for a limited time as well.
The chamber also announced that 22,000 copies of the 2016 Hometown Guide will be printed and released in January.
