Oakwood Hills board to approve new patrol officer, tax levy

The Oakwood Hills Village Board will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the village offices.

The board will open the meeting with a motion to hire Matthew Janowski as a new patrol officer for the Oakwood Hills Police Department.

Trustee Kristina Zahorik will then introduce motions to approve this year's tax levy and continue to the village's insurance.

Trustee Mike Riley will present motions to continue a contract with Efrains Landscaping through 2016 at a cost of $19,623 and authorize the vacation of Private Lane.

The board will also hear reports from the Building Department, the Police Department and the treasurer.
