Lake in the Hills cancels planning, zoning meeting

The Village of Lake in the Hills has canceled its Planning and Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight. 

The commission oversees the comprehensive plan for housing, population, social, environmental, development and economic plans in the village. It includes a Subdivision Control Ordinance, which oversees the development of neighborhoods, and ensures smooth and easy development. Lastly, the commission oversees the Zoning Ordinance, which gives delineation for zoning districts that use regulations to govern the use of placement, and the size and space of land.

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of Commissioners Tim Serritella, Brent Borkgren, Anna Siakel and Bill Dustin, as well as Chairman Joe DeMay.

The committee meets the second Monday of every month. All meetings take place at Lake in the Hills Village Hall at 600 Harvest Gate.
