Numerous tax levies were voted on and a mechanic sought the advice from the Board on obtaining a special permit for an auto body shop at the Village of Spring Grove Board meeting held Dec. 1.
Mechanic Jim Bichelberg sought the advice from the board on a special use permit that would be used at 1814 Route 12, where an auto body shop is located. The building has been used as an auto body shop for the past 20 years, yet the building has been vacant recently. Bichelberg would use the building as an auto body shop.
The property is in decent shape, however the previous owners had complaints filed against them for the storage of vehicles, as well as their inconsistent hours. The board is going to back Bichelberg and he will work with the staff on any zoning issues and special permits.
Bichelberg spoke up during the public discussion portion of the meeting.
Ted Trzaskowski also spoke up during this portion regarding the impressive display of holiday decorations at Horse Fair Park.
Multiple tax levies were voted on as part of the consent agenda, which meant a quick vote happened for the items. Among these levies were ordinances for the Heartland Crossing Phase I Special Service area and an ordinance for the Fieldstone Ridge Special Service Area 15. The motion carried for all levies.
