Lake in the Hills village trustees discussed a proposed agreement regarding encroachment of the water main easement at the Children’s Medical Group facility at a committee-of-the-whole meeting Nov. 10.
The medical facility is currently under construction at 301 N. Randall Road. The facility's HVAC units need to be placed on concrete pads and have a fence around them. The units will intrude into village's water-main easement, which is 10 feet wide.
The proposed agreement between the village and the medical facility would allow the village to turn off the HVAC units if the village needs to repair the water main. The village will give warning before it turns the HVAC units off, but it has the right to turn the units off temporarily or permanently. The owner of the property will be responsible for any costs that relate to the units or their removal.
The committee agreed to place the proposal on the Village Board agenda.
