The McHenry County Board discussed the county’s 2016 action plan and a union agreement regarding the coroner's office at its meeting Tuesday.
Besides the action plan and the agreement with Service Employees International Union Local 73 between the county and the county coroner’s office, the meeting's agenda also included authorizing a worker’s compensation claim settlement and an amendment relating to proposal requests and professional services and the county’s purchasing ordinance.
The action plan discussed during the meeting would address remaining items that were established as issues in a previously released two-year strategic plan, according to an article in The Northwest Herald. Areas specified in the article include economic development, infrastructure, environment and criminal justice related items.
The article also said that within the area of economic development, McHenry intends to facilitate partnerships with neighboring counties and there will be a development summit involving Boone, Winnebago and McHenry counties in February.
The next County Board meeting is slated for 7 p.m. Jan. 19.
