Richmond Police Commission to review department budget

The Richmond Police Commission will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Richmond Police Commission will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Richmond Police Commission will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Village Hall, 5600 Hunter Drive, to review the Police Department’s budget and to discuss personnel matters.

The meeting will continue the discussions of the Nov. 2 meeting regarding the budget set-aside for the Police Department for the 2016-17 fiscal year. 

Members of the public are welcome to attend and there will be an opportunity for community members to ask questions or to submit comments.

The commission serves as a liaison between the community and the police department and its officials.The commission’s webpage states that the Richmond Police Department is committed to its partnerships within the village community and that the department accepts participation from all community members, citizens, business interests and visitors to the village. The department states that it aims to facilitate strong police and community relations.
