The Village of Lake in the Hills Public Works Department is seeking to purchase two Ford vehicles.
The requested vehicles are a 2016 Ford F-250 pickup truck from Ford and a similar truck with an extended cab. These vehicles would join the department’s fleet of vehicles and be utilized in multiple areas that the department focuses on, including work on the installation of village water systems. The department also maintains public areas, including parks, the Police Department building, rental properties, airport facilities and other public works facilities.
Park facilities consist of multiple sports fields and courts that can support softball and baseball, basketball, volleyball and tennis. The website lists five ponds and lakes in the area for recreational use.
Interested businesses and dealerships will need to submit bids and proposal documents to the department by 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27.
For the standard pickup truck, there are currently six businesses listed on the planholder list; for the extended cab version, there are eight. Between the two lists, there is a total of five Ford dealerships, four of which are listed for both vehicle requests.
