Lake in the Hills is seeking bids for a hot pour crack sealing melter applicator with a capacity of 125 gallons.
The applicator, which needs to be able to be mounted onto a trailer, would be used by the Public Works Department for maintenance work associated with streets and pavement.
The deadline for submitting bids is 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The village currently has three planholders listed in association with this request. The companies are based in Houston, Texas; Newtown, Pennsylvania; and in Dixon, Illinois.
The department also is reminding residents about its cost sharing sidewalk replacement program that allows residents to hire out contractors to work with public sidewalks. Residents that do this can receive $3.25 per square foot of repaired sidewalk from the village with a cap of $325.
