The Woodstock Transportation Commission will be considering options for pedestrians when crossing Route 47 at its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Woodstock City Hall.
As part of the discussion, commissioners will be reviewing an article from the Woodstock Independent that details an accident that occurred on Dec. 21 when a Woodstock resident was struck by a northbound vehicle while attempting to cross on Route 47 north of Country Club Road.
First response teams at the scene reported that the pedestrian had visible head injuries, the article reports, and no citations were issued because there are no legal or otherwise marked crosswalks in the area.
The injured pedestrian taken to Centegra Hospital-Woodstock and reported to be in serious condition. The motorist was not injured.
The commission also plans to discuss the possibility of microbus system.
The commission also has slated special session to be held Feb. 17.
