The Woodstock City Council will be considering requests regarding the Benton Street Block Party at its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall.
The council will be considering several requests for the event, also known as Shamrocked, the be held from noon to 11 p.m. March 19. Organizers are seeking a waiver on the prohibition of alcohol consumption in public at the event to be held on Benton Street between Judd Street and the railroad tracks.
Organizers are also seeking permission to the close Benton Street for the event and to close East Judd Street to westbound traffic between Benton and Jefferson streets from 6 a.m. March 19 to 6 a.m. March 20. Organizers also are requesting parking restrictions for the event.
