The Woodstock Transportation Commission is holding a special session at 7 p.m. Wednesday in City Hall to discuss items relating to snow removal.

The Public Works Department, tasked with the removal of snow on all city streets that are not maintained by the state, said on its website that it does not work with removal of snow on U.S. Route 14, state Route 120 and state Route 47. The department said it does not remove snow on public sidewalks and encourages residents to clear sidewalks near their property.

The commission also will discuss pedestrian crossings on Route 47 and accident information from the area. The commission will also be discussing updates on the microbus.

Included in transmittals are reports on testing for a self-driving bus, snow removal information regarding sidewalks in neighboring communities and reports from McHenry County indicating increased fatalities among pedestrians in the county over the course of 2015.

Meeting minutes from Jan. 20 will be reviewed and voted for approval.

This meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Woodstock City Hall.
