The Harvard High School Cheer Teams requested a permit to host the Harvard High School Cheer Teams’ Color Run on May 15 in order to raise funds. The event consists of a color run in partnership with the My School Color Run organization.

According to a letter by Varsity Cheer Coach Kim Lamz, the event would begin with registration at 12:30 p.m. with the race scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., and the entire event would be concluded by 4 p.m. She also said that the event will be staffed by members of the cheer team and parent volunteers and would feature water based colors to be used on participants. The letter also states that the color material is easily washable and is not expected to stain the event area.

My School Color Run specializes in helping schools and other organizations to plan races like this in order to raise funding.

This meeting also consisted of a public hearing that reviewed matters relating to the issuance of general obligation bonds.
