Johnsburg Ordinance Committee considers fine for keeping chickens

Meeting 05

The Johnsburg Ordinance Committee met April 11.

The committee is a standing committee of the village board and consists of at least seven members.

Here are the minutes of the April 11 meeting as provided by Johnsburg:

In attendance: Chairman Klemstein, Committee Members Eichhorn, Bierman, Vicek

Meeting started: 7:02 p.m.

Motion to approve minutes by Eichhorn, 2nd by Bierman.

Chairman’s Report  - Nothing reported from the floor

New Business - Review of the updated building codes from 2006 to 2015. Chairman Klemstein stated that each member should take a few days/weeks reviewing the new codes and bring forth any changes that they feel should be made.

Old Business - Committee member Eichhorn makes motion for keeping of the chickens to be a class “A” fine. Chapter 14.04, 2nd by Vicek all voted Aye. Also Committee Member Bierman states that “Dogs at large” needs to be changed from showing the actual price amount to showing only the Classification of the fine.

Adjournment - Committee member Eichhorn motioned to have meeting adjourned, 2nd by Vicek. All favored aye; meeting adjourned 7:36 p.m.
