The first sign of autumn is upon Richmond-Burton High School with the start of the fall-sports seasons.
The girls golf team starts the season by hosting Mundelein at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Nippersink Country Club. The boys golf team opens with the Bobcat/Indian Invite at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Sandwich High School. The first home meet for the RBHS boys team is against Johnsburg at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.
The RBHS volleyball team begins the season on the road with a match at Antioch at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22. The Rockets' first home match is against Genoa-Kingston at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.
Cross-country starts its season with the Antioch Quad at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. The Rockets then host Antioch at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Richardson Adventure Farm.
The Rockets boys soccer team kicks off the season at Johnsburg at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. RBHS's first home match is at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, against Woodstock.
The football team opens with a three-game homestand, beginning with the season opener against Wauconda at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.
